Frequently Asked Questions
Everything most people ask before booking a mobile notary in Montgomery County. Don't see your question? Call (301) 915-4287 — a human answers.
- What does a mobile notary do?
- A mobile notary travels to you — your home, office, hospital room, or a coffee shop — and notarizes your documents on the spot. You skip the trip, the line, and the limited hours of a bank or shipping store.
- What areas do you serve?
- All of Montgomery County, Maryland, including Rockville, Silver Spring, Bethesda, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Potomac, and Wheaton.
- What are your hours?
- We're available 7 days a week, including evenings, generally 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, every day. Same-day and after-hours appointments are often possible — call (301) 915-4287 and ask.
- What do I need to have ready?
- A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) for every signer, and the complete, unsigned document. Don't sign anything ahead of time — the notary must watch you sign.
- How much does it cost?
- Maryland sets the maximum fee a notary may charge per notarial act, and mobile notaries may also charge a travel fee. Call us for an exact quote for your document and location — no surprises.
- How do I pay?
- There's nothing to pay online. The notary collects payment in person at the appointment once the work is done.
- Can you come to a hospital or assisted-living facility?
- Yes — hospital, rehab, and senior-living visits are a regular part of our work. The signer must be alert, aware, and able to communicate their wishes at the time of signing.
- Can I book same-day?
- Often, yes. Online booking requires at least 2 hours' notice; for anything sooner, call (301) 915-4287 and we'll do our best to fit you in.
